Cookware Scenarios

OK, I took a quick trip to Publix today just to get some prices on some items. You have a lot of options depending on the things you need. The best way to keep your OOP low, is to use a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon. Call the Publix you plan on shopping at and make sure they are taking them before you go. There's not a lot of items on sale this week. But it can be very easy to rack up $25. If your not sure what you have coupons for, look in the 9-26 PG insert. Proctor & Gamble only come out with inserts once or twice a month and this is the only place you can get coupons for their items beside their mailers. If you don't have any of their mailers yet, then go through your PG insert and see what you can do.

For instance, Tide is on sale this week for $5.99 and there is a $1/1 coupon in the 9-26 PG. The Tide Stain Release tabs are $6.99 but there is $3/1 in the same insert. You could buy 2 Tide detergents and 2 Tide Stain Release tabs for a total of $25.96 (before tax). After using the $5/$25 Rite Aid and 2 $3/1 Tide Stain Release and 2 $1/1 Tide your total would only be $12.96 (before tax).

If you need any polish spray, now is a good time to get it. The Swiffer Dust & Shine is priced right now $3.79. Use the B1G1 and $.50/1 coupons from the 9-26 PG. You could buy 4 of the Swiffer Dust & Shine, 1 Tide Stain Release and 1 Downy liquid fabric softner (smaller bottle priced at $3.19). You total would be $25.34. Using the $5/$25, 2 B1G1 Swiffer Dust & Shine, 2 $.50/1 (will double) Swiffer Dust & Shine (you should be able to do this since the B1G1 coupon attaches to the free item), 1 $3/1 Tide Stain Release, and 1 $1/1 Downy. Your total now would be $6.76!

Maybe that can help you get started. The key is to try and get items with the highest value coupon available to lower your total.

Remember, you have until 10-17 to do this. And you have to purchase it all in one transaction. The coupons from the 9-26 PG do not expire until 10-31. I may wait until Monday when the sneak peak in available to see if anything else goes on sale.

More Publix coupons

More Publix coupons are available today HERE. I would be more excited if I could stack! But, these are still good coupons and they go quick! Last week I forgot to print them and checked that night and they were gone! Print while you can!

I'm going to price check several things today if I have time. With so many options it should be pretty easy to rack up on items with coupons. However, there isn't a lot on sale this week for this so I may wait until Monday to see if anything will go on sale.

Also, the form says it will take 8-10 weeks to receive the cookware set. Not that bad really! Some people commented and said they received their's within just a few weeks. You will need to circle all the eligible products and mail the original receipt to:

Another $5/$25 Toys R Us coupon! *Fixed link

There is another $5/$25 Toys R Us coupon HERE that does not expire until 10/3! Woohoo! Just in time for those Halloween costumes. There are a lot of things on sale this week. You can also go HERE for coupons on various Hasbro items. If your child is into Iron Man, they have several coupons that you can use and when you pair that with the $5/$25, you've got a pretty good deal!

I also received an email yesterday with even more Toys R Us coupons including 30% off Halloween costumes. Those start out at $20 and I wanted to get my little girl the Sleeping Beauty costume with the wand, crown, and shoes. Now I should be able to get all of it for around $25. The catch is, those coupons are only valid for TODAY and TOMORROW. I'm gonna have to leave that outfit at work or I'll end up giving it to her! Go HERE for those coupons. They are a pdf file so you'll be able to print more than one if your like me and have more than one costume to buy. Be sure to give the $5/$25 first.

Free Cookware Set

Have you heard about this from iheartpublix?? I've read several comments that people received this last year and still use it! I plan on going tonight and purchasing the items. You do not need the rebate form. Go HERE to iheartpublix to see what scenarios some people have come up with and more details about the cookware. I know you will have to purchase this at Publix. I called to be sure. I'm going to come up with some scenarios tonight as most of the scenarios include some Publix store coupons being stacked and now of course we can't do that anymore! So, in our area we will pay more out of pocket. However, if your store lets you use $5/$25, then you'll still come out with a good deal. I know the store in Northport still accepts these and I believe the one on University Blvd. does as well. If those stores aren't too far from you, you may just want to do the deal there.

New coupon policies at Publix

Just wanted to let you guys know about the situation I ran across today at Publix in Northport. I had heard of this happening at the one in Northridge as well. They will no longer allow us to 'stack' (using a competitor coupon with a manufacturer coupon or a Publix store coupon with a manufacturer) coupons. I had a Publix store coupon for a few things and a manufacturer and they would only take one or the other. I also had a Target store coupon with a manufacturer coupon and they wouldn't take it either!!

I can understand not taking the competitor. But the Publix store coupons?? I'm confused. How come Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Target will let you use one their store coupons with a manufacturer coupon but PUBLIX (who is supposed to be coupon friendly) won't??!! Mind you, there usually aren't that many store coupons that come available but when there are some, it makes for a great deal!! Trust me, they have not heard the last from me! I will be contacting corporate. I will get you guys the email if you want to do the same!

**If you want to contact them (I just did!) go to the Publix website and click on Contact us. The Northport store # is 01075.**

International Delight Coffee Creamer $.50!!!

Everytime I walk into Publix, I am always on the lookout for coupon dispensers.

I'm extremely glad I did today!! At the Publix on 69 S, there is a coupon dispenser in front of the International Delight coffee creamers.

This week, the pints are on sale for 2/$3. The coupon is for $1/1!! You can score delicious coffee creamer for $.50!! So be on the lookout next time you go!

Keep an eye on your cashier!!

I think you guys are gonna learn from the all the crazy things that happen to me with couponing!! I made another trip to Publix today (post on it later) and I always have a habit of watching the register as the cashier is scanning my coupons. Well, today I was busy fumbling for a pen in my purse and before I knew it she was done and she gave me my total. I knew it sounded a little high but there was a line behind me so I didn't argue. However, I did check my receipt as I was walking out the door and thats when I saw it! She completely entered a coupon wrong!! The competitor coupons they have to manually enter. My $5/$25 was the first coupon I used and that was the one she messed up. She was in a hurry and entered $.50 by mistake. I looked at all the other coupons that rang up or were entered and they were correct. I walked back in and went to customer service and they gave me my cash back! Had I not noticed before I left I probably wouldn't have gotten my money back because they would have no way to prove it. Be sure you remember how many coupons you have and if possible the amounts (or just have them written down) and double check your receipt before you leave. Sometimes, it can really make a difference!

Great Target deals this week!!

I love Target but it isn't always convenient for me to shop there. Its not located in a central area for me. However, when they have some good deals, I will definately make a trip there and this week is the week to do it! If you are a Target shopper then I suggest you follow Kerry's blog HERE. She is wonderful at giving us all the deals available at Target. I priced checked all these deals so I know they will work for us!

Huggies Wipes 64ct on Price Cut for $2
  • $.75/1 Target store coupon HERE
  • $2.50/3 Manufacturer coupon HERE
   Buy 3 for $6
  • Use 1 $2.50/1
  • Use 3 $.75/1
Pay $1.25 for all 3!!! (I am in need for some this week too!!)

Land O Lakes Spreadable Butter on Price Cut for $1.04
  • $.50/1 Land O Lakes spreadable butter (you'll need to sign up)
  • $.50/1 Land O Lakes spreadable butter

Makes them $.49 - $.54 each! My husband loves this butter so I will definately be stocking up!

New coupons to go with the Publix ad

Those of us addicted to coupons are great at finding deals!! Just about every week as I check the comments on iheartpublix from the weekly sneek peak, someone has found even more coupons!!

If you didn't get enough of the Green Giant Fresh Valley Steamers (I didn't, I'm already out of the sweet corn!!) there is another coupon available. Go HERE to print a $.50/1 coupon which will double!! You'll be able to score 2 bags for $.40! I really wish I had more computers!

If you need some Glade oil refills (I certainly do and those things are expensive!) this is a good week to get some. Its not a rock bottom price if you don't have the coupons but still a good price at B1G1. There is a $.50/1 Dollar General store coupon that you can use. There is also a B1G1 Glade warmer WYB a refill in the 8-29 RP. You'll be able to get 2 refill packs and 2 warmers for around $4!

$1 for a gallon of milk starting Wednesday at Publix!!!!

OK, seriously!!! You guys have no idea how EXCITED I am about this milk being on sale again with a coupon!! My husband LOVES this milk and will drink half a gallon a day if I let him. This was on sale about a month and a half ago and I bought over 10 gallons (which was 20 half gallons, I had no room for anything else!) and they only lasted a little over a month!! I think I will buy more this time. A gallon of milk at Walmart right now is $2.88. You can order as many $2/1 Smart Balance milk coupons as you want from MyCouponHunter.com for $.20 a coupon. I have ordered from here several times and she ships extremely fast. Also, there is a $2/1 coupon in the 9-12 RP. Even if you order the coupons and spend $2 doing so, you will be able to buy 3 gallons of milk and only pay $3. Your total spent, including the cost of the coupons, is $5. If you bought 3 gallons at Walmart, it would be almost $9! I'm telling you, this milk is wonderful and the expiration date is at least a month away. I didn't have to freeze any of the milk I bought before because the expiration date was so far away. I hope you'll give it a try!

**Be warned, Publix can almost NEVER keep this milk stocked when its on sale. Consider getting a rain check. I know I am anyway!!

Lysol Touch Free Handsoap $4.50 at DG

I have yet to get one of these and I plan to this week! (It will just be put up in the kitchen where the kids can't play with it!) Dollar General has starting selling these now at the grand price of $10! A little too much for me. Now, you can get it for $4.50! Go HERE to print a DG store coupon for $2.50/1 and then go HERE (you'll need to register) to print a Manufacturer coupon for $3/1. I will tell you this, I have seen this at Walmart before for $6. So you would use the $3/1 and get it for $3. I haven't checked lately. But if Walmart isn't near you, it would probably be easier just to buy it at Dollar General.

Be careful with Rite Aid coupons at Publix

I don't know about you, but I love using the Rite Aid Video Value coupons. That is where I get my $5/$25 and $4/$20 to use at Publix to reduce my total. Usually, there are around 20 or more coupons on Riteaid.com that you could stack with a manufacturer coupon either at Rite Aid or Publix. I went to Publix Wednesday with a Rite Aid video value coupon and a Manufacturer coupon for the same item. The cashier informed me that the Rite Aid coupon is not a 'store' coupon although it has the Rite Aid logo. It is in fact a Manufacturer coupon so I wasn't able to stack like I have done MANY times before when the coupon stated that. I didn't argue. The cashier was extremely nice about it. And actually, she wasn't a regular cashier, she normally worked in customer service anyway. So, when I got the car, I looked at a few other Rite Aid coupons that I had to really read the fine print. This is what just about all of the Rite Aid coupons state: "..Good only at Rite Aid Pharmacies. Coupon redemption paid by manufacturer." I figure, since it states that it is paid by the manufacturer then it is a manufacturer coupon. However, at the same time, the coupon states good only at Rite Aid Pharmacies. So, I called Publix today and explained to them the situation and I was told that since the coupon states, "Good only at Rite Aid" then it is a competitor coupon. ?????!!!!
How frustrating is this?! My suggestion, next time you go in Publix with a Rite Aid coupon, go to customer service, show them the coupon and see what they say. Then, when you check out if there is a discrepancy, you can tell the cashier you spoke to so and so at customer service. I want us all to follow the rules so that we can continue to get such great deals but it just gets confusing when one cashier is different from the next. The good thing is, you won't always use the Rite Aid coupons because they only change once a month. And there is not an issue with the $5/$25 or the $4/$20. Luckily, there is never an issue with the Target coupons since they clearly state "Target coupon"!

Do you rent movies from Redbox?

Have you ever rented movies from Redbox? I have! However, I have discovered Blockbuster Express and I love it! I mainly like that after I return a movie it pulls up a receipt that shows me how much my total was (we tend to forget to bring the movie back the next day!). Plus, they are ALWAYS offering a FREE one night rental! These are located right inside Publix. There is usually never a line (like there always is at the Redbox in Walmart in Northport or Walgreens) and there is another Blockbuster Express located at the Mapco by Winn Dixie off Hwy 43.

So, if you haven't tried them, now is your chance to try for FREE! Just enter the code WDVD1 at checkout. This is good for TONIGHT only. Extra night charges and taxes apply.

Enjoy your free movie! I know we will be stopping by there tonight!

Thanks CouponersUnited!

Get $90 worth of merchandise at DG for $40!!

*TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO GET YOUR COUPON!*
It is printed on your receipt when you buy something!

I have now fallen IN LOVE with the $5/25 coupon at Dollar General. I am guessing they are going to do this about every other week. I will show you some scenarios that you can use or tweak so that you can get $90 worth of merchandise for around $40! Now, that is pre-tax because sometimes tax is not taken off when you use a coupon. Your total may vary too depending on which coupons you use. But, this can give you a good idea of how to utilize this great coupon to your advantage.

I will have some scenarios up later on tonight. The coupon will be effective for this Thursday and Friday. Now, I haven't personally done this at Dollar General yet. I plan on shopping Thursday evening when I get home and I will let you know how it goes. I did go to Dollar General's website and read their Coupon Policy to make sure I am doing everything right.

Toys R Us $5/$25 Printable coupon!

I don't know about you but I love a coupon for Toys R Us because they are hard to come by! Go HERE to get your coupon and you can print as many as you want! This expires on 9-26. If you plan on using more than one, just remember you'll need to do different transactions. You may even have to make different trips because this does state "One coupon per guest". This will come in handy since my boys' birthdays are next month!

Rule change at Publix

So, today I went to the Publix on 69 S and the Publix in Northport. At both of them, if the coupon said, Do Not Double, the cashier manually would "suppress" the coupon so it wouldn't double!! OK, that sucks I will admit! However, now I will definately look at my coupons and if I have some that should double but say DND. So just be prepared!

Dollar General Store coupon matchups

I saw this coupon sheet at Dollar General and I knew that there were coupons to match up with these and there are! Dollar General's coupon policy does allow you to use a Manufacturer coupon and a DG store coupon! Here are the coupons included in the sheet (found at the front of the store by the registers) and the Manufacturer coupons that go with it to make for a really great deal! Also, think about using these with the $5/$25 coupon! These coupons do not expire until 10/2.

Dollar General scenario FOR NEXT WEEK!

Sorry, got dates wrong!! I will have a few more scenarios for you though!

This is totally last minute because in order to do this scenario you will need to use the $5/$25 from your Dollar General receipt and you'll have to do it tomorrow. If you haven't gotten one, buy a pack of gum to get it before you do this. You'll get all of this for around $10 (before tax).
  • Snuggie blanket
  • 2 Glade Fabric & Air Spray $3.75 each or 2 Axe Shower Gels $3 (you can use either one depending on which coupon you have or which item you want)
  • 2 Malt O Meal cereals on sale right now for $1.65
  • If you use the Axe instead of the Glade, you'll need to throw in a pack of gum such as Trident (I believe they are $1 or $1.50 if they are $1.50 you may want to get a cheaper gum if you want your total cheaper).
Here are the coupons you will need:
  • Snuggie $5/1 HERE (I found it under 90210 zip code you may have to search for it, mine was the last one!)
  • B1G1 Glade Fabric & Air Spray, 8-22 SS or B1G1 Axe Shower Gel, 8-29 RP
  • 1 Glade Fabric & Air Spray $1/1 sticker found on item
  • 2 Malt O Meal $.75/1 HERE if you haven't already printed it
  • Trident Gum $1/2 HERE. It's a facebook coupon so you'll need to "like" them and then click on coupons.
Here is what your transaction will look like:
  • 1 Snuggie blanket $15
  • 2 Glade Fabric & Air Spray $7.50 total
  • 2 Malt O Meal cereals $3.30 total
You total will be $25.80 before tax. Make sure you hand the cashier the $5/$25 coupon first and then the others in any order. Your total will now be $9.55 (before tax)!

Here is what my transaction will look like since I don't have the Glade coupons yet:
  • 1 Snuggie blanket $15
  • 2 Axe Shower Gels $6 total
  • 2 Malt O Meal cereals $3.30 total
  • 2 packs of Trident gum or 1 pack of something else depending on price
My total will be right at $25 and I will pay around $10.50 (before tax)! You can modify this anyway you like. The trick is to get your total right at $25 before tax and to buy stuff you have coupons for.

Cheap Glade Fabric & Air Spray at DG!

I went to Dollar General today and priced checked the Glade Fabric & Air Spray. Right now, they are $3.75 each and some of them have a $1/1 coupon on them. There is a B1G1 from the 8-22 SS insert. Use both of these to score 2 bottles for $2.75! You should have no problem using both coupons. I checked Dollar General's coupon policy on their website and it says nothing about not being able to do this. I don't have any of the B1G1 coupons so I ordered some!

Gain Dish Detergent $1 at Dollar General!

I took a trip to Dollar General last night and I found the Gain Dish Detergent for $2. I received a free sample of this in the mail and I LOVE it. It smells great. The bottle is huge! I only saw the Lavender available at Dollar General. It's a great price even at $2 and it is the same price at Walmart. I've heard of it being $.97 (it could have been a smaller bottle) at Walmart but I never found it. If you have the Proctor Gamble insert from 8-29, there is a $1/1 coupon! Great deal for dish detergent!

Coupon Booklet at Publix!!!!

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!!  There is a coupon book at Publix full of store coupons!!! You have no idea how excited I am. I found this at the store in Northport. Trust me, ever since I started couponing I always heard of these wonderful books to stack coupons with but I could NEVER find them. And to think I almost passed by the circular without checking it! I picked up two. There weren't many available so if you don't find one, ask customer service. I asked them about the Put Clean in Your Cart book and the manager said they are still waiting to receive it. If I find it I will let you know.

Go HERE to find out what coupons are included in the booklet. Just from skimming through it, I already know of coupons that can match up with it and I will try and get that up as soon as possible.

FREE Gift Pack! HURRY!

I received my free sample of Febreze with Gain today! I love receiving free samples in the mail. More Pillsbury coupons!

PwwC

This week at Publix, Toaster Strudels will be B1G1. I absolutely love these and so do our kids!! I will definately be stocking up, if I can find room! There are many coupons available for this at Coupons.com, Smartsource.com, Target.com, and Pillsbury.com. The coupons are .50/2 so the coupon will double! The one from Pillsbury is $1/2. It sounds crazy to buy so many but trust me, I've been waiting months for this to go on sale again so it will probably be months before we see it B1G1 again. Plus, you can always get rainchecks!!
